Such a lovely memory! I recently started a new job and was tempted to “green up” on St. Patrick’s day but decided not to, as I wondered if the “thirty something” environment I’d joined would think that was an old school grandma thing to do. Not so! I came in everyday gear and there were the green shirts and sweaters, socks and other accoutrements. “What? Karen, where’s your green?” And there we were – all of us irish for a day as always. And I missed wearing my lovely cut glass shamrock earrings. Boo! Thanks for this story.
