On the Sixth Day of a Feminine Christmas

On the other hand…what’s more festive than red plaid pajamas at Christmas?

For frigid nights in the run up to Christmas, I don my old red plaid flannel pj’s. A little pilled and very soft, they are like a fabric hug. And the red plaid is so, well, fa-la-la. They make an easy choice after a day of shopping, wrapping and baking.

A little self-care during the holidays cannot be understated. Sometimes when I’m overrun with errands and the weather is challenging, it’s so nice to come home to my old familiar and Christmas-cheery pajamas. Double points for a comforting meal in the crockpot on those days too.

Turning on the tree lights, having a hot healthy supper on the hob, and my comforting old pajamas are all ways I take care of myself in this dark  but blessed season.

Fa-la-love…

I have no flannel pjs, alas–but I do have a snuggly floral pair that keep me toasty on those brrrrrrrrr nights. I love them!
And speaking of crockpot meals, just yesterday I went into my favorite Goodwill to search for specifically a blue crockpot. I prayed about it ahead of time, asking God to please help me find a blue vintage crockpot to match my blue-themed vintage kitchen. And don’t you know? I found one! I have company coming this Christmas, which is a huge blessing, and I am anticipating making some delicious old-fashioned comfort-food meals for them in this beautiful new-to-me crockpot! I will not, however, be making them in my pajamas! Lol

On the other hand- absolutely! I have red plaid pajamas just like photo and often can’t wait to put them on during those long dark cold winter evenings. Definitely feels like a warm cozy hug.

Like the plaid very much. So cozy and soft looking.

I found a thrifted Talbots plaid purse/tote yesterday and am thrilled. A plaid purse has been on my radar for some time.

So enjoying your annual Christmas posts.

Thank you for reminding us about the feminine side of Christmas!
